Over the summer we hosted the wedding of Alex and Melita at MC Motors. After getting married at The Chapel of St. Peter and St. Paul at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich the happy couple made their way over to us in a wonderful silver 1962 Karmann Ghia with guests following across the river in traditional London taxis and a Routemaster bus.
After entering to the applause of friends and family the car was acutely reversed next to the entertainment for the evening provided by “fine purveyors of filthy swing” Top Shelf Jazz. A sit down meal for 130 ensued with vietnamese Summer Rolls to start and a tantalising Thai green curry for main course with after dinner coffees being provided by Brewedboy and his quirky coffeemobile.
The couples family had helped to stamp the newly weds mark on the venue by creatively decorating it with colourful floristry. After the speeches the first dance was to “At Last” by Etta James with one guest remarking that it had been “the best event they had ever been to”. High praise indeed.
Many thanks to Alex and Melita for sharing the pictures of their special day with us and check out photographer Liam Bailey’s site where there’s more examples of the great work he’s done.
