For the second year running, MC Motors hosted the Colour World 2017 event and we were absolutely thrilled! With elaborate dying techniques and unique ways to keep your colour in for longer over the summer season, guests were immersed in a world of knowledge. From exciting talks to hands on demonstrations, we were never lacking in exciting things to discover!

David Bailey x Valentino 17/18 Campaign

Returning back to his East London roots, David Bailey came to MC Motors to photograph the 2017/18 Valentino campaign shoot. Like something out of the past, Bailey made a simple, yet unique set, utilising all the antique signs and props to create a visually pleasing photo, filled with many colours and textures. Almost like stepping back into The Beatles era, the models rocked the boy band look as they posed in a modern twist of vintage punk apparel. It’s always a pleasure to have such a talented character back at MC Motors for such a fun and gorgeous shoot! 
Brooklyn Brewery Beer Mansion 2017

For the second year running, Brooklyn Brewery’s Beer Mansion was a huge success! It was wonderful getting to see MC Motors transformed from our everyday industrial space, to a jungle like maze, and our Blue factory resembling a booze filled beach holiday! Who wouldn’t love that!? Some of our favourite parts of the evening were strange events that occurred throughout; eating ox hearts over a ‘dead’ body, searching blindfolded through a pitch black room, eating insects(!!!!!!!), and of course, sampling all the incredible flavours of beer within the mansion. From live bands to a great DJ set, people were dancing the night away, immersed in the wonderful world that was the Beer Mansion.

Ellie Goulding ft. Deichmann

Last month we hosted Ellie Goulding’s shoe launch in collaboration with Deichmann, at our MC Motors location. The setup for the event was gorgeous, with lovely little white umbrellas floating above the entrance way, sheilding everyone from the rain. The main room was styled with fabulous pastel furniture, strategically setup for the models to walk the catwalk showcase. The shoes were all displayed artistically around the location, like paintings in frames along the windows, and shoes peeping out the lockers. Ellie Goulding gave an astounding performance later on in the launch, and everyone enjoyed a good drink and chat afterwards. Overall it was great day filled with lovely people, and we were happy to be apart of it!

It’s amazing looking back and seeing how much the studios have changed, and how every shoot is so unique and captivating in its own way. Pitching in the Real ‘Den’

Back in December, we hosted a very constructive event for young people to come and take part in the London Region’s Pitching Challenge. Students from different schools around the community came together to pitch their ideas to the ‘dragons’ on how to make a difference to social problems around the world, on the original Dragons Den set. This event really gave the students a chance to see what it would be like, pitching in the real world of work. They received constructive criticism, put themselves forward, and had fun. It was wonderful getting to see so many young talented minds, come together and bravely, and professionally put their ideas forward to the panel, and convince the ‘dragons’ to invest in their ideas, to eventually work towards making a difference in the world.

NLAH Christmas Event

Hey everyone! Sorry we’ve been away so long, but we hope you’ve all had a wonderful holiday and have settled back nicely into everyday life again! We know we have, and it’s great to be back!
Following up on our last post, before Christmas, we hosted a charity event in collaboration with the North London Action for the Homeless. We had such a great day and we would love to thank everyone who came out to support a wonderful cause! Our lovely pop up cafe did absolutely amazing, with more and more people coming in to enjoy fresh teas, coffees, cakes and savoury treats. Oh.. and lets not forget the most important thing, mulled wine! The atmosphere was gorgeous and warming, especially as the day ran on and the candle light filled the room, giving off a very homey and welcoming feel. There was also a live performance from the talented Dee Plume to get everyone moving as they enjoyed their treats! Not only was the cafe a great success, we can’t forget to mention how well the pop up vintage sale went! With customers coming in buying beautiful items either for themselves as a cheeky holiday treat, or buying gifts for friends and loved ones as Christmas soon approached. Everyone walked away happy! After everyone had had their fill, and purchased some beautiful garments and treasures, we also had a Polaroid shoot going on around the corner. Customers were able to choose between various fashion forward and festive set designs to have their portrait taken in front of. It was a really touching experience to be able to capture a moment of a family before the holidays, or some best friends wanting to remember a fun event.
We were so thrilled to be part of such a remarkable event and meet so many charming new faces. Thank you so much to everyone who came out, we all really appreciated it, and you helped out with such a great cause! We hope to see you all again soon! x
