David Bailey x Valentino 17/18 Campaign
Returning back to his East London roots, David Bailey came to MC Motors to photograph the 2017/18 Valentino campaign shoot. Like something out of the past, Bailey made a simple, yet unique set, utilising all the antique signs and props to create a visually pleasing photo, filled with many colours and textures. Almost like stepping back into The Beatles era, the models rocked the boy band look as they posed in a modern twist of vintage punk apparel. It's always a pleasure to have such a talented character back at MC Motors for such a fun and gorgeous shoot!
We know its not a Thursday, but we thought we'd give everyone a little throwback anyway! Today while looking through some old magazines around the studio, we found some incredible shots from so many different shoots at our locations. It's amazing looking back and seeing how much the studios have changed, and how every shoot is so unique and captivating in its own way. From fashion to interiors, take a look down below at some of the wonderful shoots throughout the years. And let us know if you've ever seen these photos in magazines not knowing they were from our locations!

Introducing…. Ruby’s our new Dalston Basement Bar!
Set underneath the cinema sign at 76 Stoke Newington Road Ruby’s is an intimate subterranean drinking den serving expertly mixed cocktails and quality alternatives in a unique and atmospheric setting. Set up by Tom Gibson in the former kitchen of Ruby House 3, a Chinese takeaway, the room was stripped back and adorned with a Mayfair bar and some delicate interior alterations. Drinks are made using top quality ingredients with all alcohol being premium and all juices and syrups freshly made on site. We place great emphasis on the small touches that make a difference so all our Blackberry Mojito’s are served in 1940’s milk bottles, all our beer mats are vintage and unique and service will always be performed with a smile. Ruby’s aims to fuse the atmosphere of an old fashioned bar with modern day standards of quality and service. We have a small carefully crafted cocktail menu which include 7 Ruby’s classics and 7 seasonal ones plus a selection of alternatives including Redchurch Ale, Brooklyn lager, Breton cider, fine wines plus a whole array of others. Barbara and Mark’s MC Motors Wedding
Here's some fantastic images of the recent wedding of Barbara and Mark at MC Motors. After getting married at St. Mary Moorfields Church in Bishopsgate the happy couple arrived down our alleyway via pink taxi. There was a vintage 1950s feel to proceedings with Barbara in her beautiful Candy Anthony prom style dress and the bridesmaids standing out from the crowd in sassy yellow polka dotted numbers. With the chemistry of the Irish-Aussie crowd bubbling nicely the scene was set for a good ol' knees up with music provided courtesy of rockabilly outfit The Hightown Crows and MC Motors regulars The Wedding Smashers. The newly-weds then had their profile shots taken next door in Ruby House while the underground bar played host to those late night owls still standing at the end. We'd like to thank both Barbara and Mark for allowing us to use their fantastic images and we're delighted to have met you both and that the day went so well. Also many thanks to Nick Tucker, the photographer, for producing such images and again for allowing us to share them. Check out his site for more pictures and if anyone's looking for a wedding photographer he definitely gets our recommendation! The wedding (and a very complimentary feature - thanks!) was also featured on cult wedding blog Rock n Roll Bride which also provides plenty more images to delve through!
