We recently decked out the Vinyl Factory in our signature style for the launch of BMW’s new MINI Scooter. 50 years after the original MINI was launched the new emission-free scooter was suitably unveiled just around the corner from Carnaby Street, the spiritual home of the Swinging Sixties.
The new design mixes the traditional retro look of the MINI with a high-tech modern interface. The scooter can be charged from home and a special adapter means a smartphone can be used as a key to start the ignition. The phones face can then be used as a sat-nav, music player or a blue tooth phone while a special helmet will have earphones built in so you can listen to music or talk while riding. An innovative way to meet the demands of the young, urban generation.
Agyness Deyn’s universal appeal yet quintessentially British style meant she was an apt choice to launch the scooter which will now go on a worldwide publicity tour.
If you’re looking to buy one you’ll have to wait until 2012 but watch the launch party video here…
