If you’re a big fan of British indie rock, go checkout Shortlist Magazine’s latest issue featuring London based band, The Carnabys. The quintet is shown sporting Ben Shermans new Script Collection available exclusively at Debenhams, on the front and back covers of the magazine, shot at our MC Motors location. The band looks absolutely smashing and we were thrilled to host the shoot!
Is fashion and partying your kinda thing? Say no more. On Wednesday September 21st, we hosted an incredible Boiler Room event in collaboration with Zalando. VIP guests were invited into our MC Motors location to see the launch of the popular brand which originated in Berlin. The setup was stunning with technologically advanced dresses displayed in a polaroidesque style against the industrial brick. The glass fibres of one of the dresses made for such gorgeous and unique flash photography, that it projected magnificently again the harsh background. 150 of the lucky first arrivals were greeted with the opportunity to get a free pair of specially designed, Adidas trainers from artists right there and then.
Down in our Blue Factory, the Boiler Room club scene was taking place. Ruby’s Dalston supplied the bar while Dj’s such as Black Foot Phoenix, Kitty Cash and Bradley Zero kept the crowd pumping throughout the night. To finish everything off, Jamie Woon played a wonderful, upbeat and soulful set. A fantastic night with some incredible people and we were thrilled to be apart of it!
The other day at our Church Walk location, we were proud to host a BeBox event in collaboration with Got2b, featuring the incredibly talented Rag ‘N’ Bone Man. The bleusy singer/songwriter from Brighton was interviewed and gave an amazing live performance. The industrial setting of the location really added to the emotional and raspy style of the music, giving it a more raw vibe. Please checkout his interview and performance here:
On September 15, we were happy to host the 2016 Darc Night Awards at our MC Motors location. It was a prestigious architecture awards ceremony that contained an array of extravagant light installations from collaborations with manufacturing partners and designers. The ceremony was quite unique, presented in the style of an art gallery opening, with the option for street food and drinks, giving off a very warm and welcoming appeal. It was a great opportunity to see our location transformed to fit such stunning installations for some very talented artists! Ruby’s Bar and Lounge is the perfect location to come and relax for a few drinks with friends after a days work. Last night, they hosted an amazing Jazz night! The live band filled the room with a refreshing and entertaining performance, with a delightful atmosphere radiating throughout!
We were very thrilled to have Philip Mould come to our House Next Door and have Simon Bevan shoot artworks dating back to the 16th century! It was a new and stunning experience and the photos turned out absolutely remarkable!
